Shrugs for the Season
Well Labor Day has come and gone which means that summer is over and we are moving into Fall! The leaves will soon be changing and there will be a little chill in the air at night and what better way to stay warm and more importantly accessorize your wedding look than with a shrug or jacket. I have been researching options for my fall brides and have come across some amazing options. You can always go the route to have something custom made or buy a matching bolero or shrug with your wedding gown if that is an option, but if not here are 4 fab options that are easily accessible and different! We’ll start off with a great look, a taffeta peplum jacket from J.Crew. I love how it cinches at the waist and gives the overall look such a great tailored feel.
For something a little more vintage inspired, why not try this Boulevardier Capelet from BHLDN. This lace applique capelet covers the shoulders and has a great ribbon tie. This would be perfect for an outdoor rustic wedding.
Next up is a great beaded option….more of a custom jacket this Oyster Jacket by Carol Hannah Whitfied, is a sequined, draped jacket of mixed metallic hues with dolman sleeves and chiffon edging. This is a jacket one could wear after the wedding it is so fun.
Of course, knowing me I had to throw in something with feathers and over the top! I LOVE this Santorini shrug by Jenny Packham…more like obsessed. This is just plain fun, perfect for reception and a send off when it’s chilly and definitely a statement piece.
So there are some of my pics for Fall for cover-ups. I LOVE accessorizing a dress, it changes a brides’ look without having her change her whole dress. Fall brides out there, start shopping now, these do take some time to come in! Here’s to a busy fall season.
Until then!
