Anticipation Is Half the Fun

I often think that the anticipation of an event is half the fun. We collaborate with our graphic designers on printed materials that are custom-created for each of our brides and grooms. The story of the upcoming wedding day begins to be told through the save the date, continued with the invitation and brought together in the weekend materials : welcome gifts, itinerary booklets, butler cards, place cards and menus.

Sarah, the beautiful bride on the cover page of our website, desired a layered, textural invitation that captured her multi-faceted design sense and told a coastal story of the history and heritage of The Cloister. The gals at STITCH, created this stunning suite that pulled together vintage photographs from seaside events at Sea Island, oceanic artwork, tactile elements of seagrass and silk and the custom calligraphy of Elizabeth Porcher Jones. The save the date is very often the springboard for the entire event design…and what anticipation a set like this creates!!
